SL's first Unit Investment Trust (VI89U)

Today I'm thrilled to have the support of the staff of Ancapistan Capital Exchange (ACE) and Verve Financial Services (VFS) to launch the first Unit Investment Trust in existence in Second Life, in VFS Income Long-term Unit Trust 2008-2009 (managed by Verve Financial Services) with the ticker symbol of VI89U.

Once the IPO is completed (currently planned for only a 7 day run via the IPO process), the funds from the IPO will be invested into high-income generating companies (that pay very good dividends vs. their per share price).

It will also operate very similar to real-life UIT’s, in that it will only operate for a very short period of time (one year in this particular case, from July 1st of 2008 until June 30th of 2009), with the dividends earned by these investment paid to the shareholders as dividends (minus a very small expense fee). Within 10 days of the Trusts expiration date (June 30th 2009) all of its assets (except for any shareholders who wish to roll their holdings forward into the next mid-year version Income UIT can do so) will be liquidated and the proceeds paid out to the shareholders (minus a small fee for completing the transactions and for any profits that may result).

We will strive to launch more investment products (13 have been launched today, with 6 of them currently available via the IPO process at the Ancapistan Capital Exchange (http://www.ace-exchange.com/ipo) as time permits in the coming months and once things are running smoothly and our core products are operating then we will also launch the IPO of Verve Financial Services as we take it public.
